AtWork! offers a complete benefits package for full time employees after 90 days of employment. We offer affordable medical, dental and vision plans in which AtWork! covers about 75% of expenses and the option of a Flexible Spending Account. We provide all eligible employees with 80 hours of vacation pay, 9 days of holiday pay, and 40 hours of sick pay annually. In addition, AtWork! offers a 403B retirement plan and bonus incentives that are paid throughout the year.

Director of Customized Employment

AtWork! is looking for a dynamic leader to guide and grow the Customized Employment division of our organization.  One who will provide guidance, oversight, and creativity toward the development of new employment and training opportunities for people with severe and multiple disabilities.  The ideal candidate is a passionate leader in the community who thrives on change, is driven to succeed, and is able to demonstrate expertise in program development and cutting edge service delivery, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

•    Manager, mentor and supervisor for an enthusiastic team of Employment Consultants.
•    Design and implement best practices in service strategy, case management, and departmental organization.
•    Represent AtWork! to private and public sectors with a focus on community employment for individuals with disabilities.
•    Effectively manage program design and implementation, staff accountability and training, budget and finances, and the outcomes achieved by the people we serve.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Services, Not-for-Profit Management, or related field.
•    Minimum of two years experience in staff supervision and program development.
•    Two years of direct service delivery in the field of employment/training programs and services for people with disabilities
•    High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
•    Exemplary writing and speaking skills

 

Employment Consultant

AtWork! is looking for a progressive person to join our Customized Employment team who has a “can do” attitude, dedication, creativity and a passion for discovering the potential in others.  The Employment Consultant plays an important role helping people with disabilities find and keep personally fulfilling jobs.

Responsibilities:

•    Asses job readiness, qualifications and skill level of program participants.
•    As a member of a team, provide skill training for program participants in interviewing, employment hygiene practices, and coworker interaction.
•    Analyze tasks and work environments of employers where participants will be employed to develop individualized training plans.
•    Train participants in work duties, policies, procedures and regulations specific to the community employer.
•    Work with program participants, their employer and their parent/guardian to develop vocational goals.
•    Maintain data related to service delivery, contact information with community employers, and networking and referrals of individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications
•    Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
•    At least six months related experience or training – or – equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Knowledge of current State and Federal Labor Law and Americans with Disabilities Act.
•    Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of vehicle liability insurance.
•    Must be insurable by carriers.
•    Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of the onset of employment.

 

Seasonal Landscaping Crew Supervisors (Temporary)

AtWork! is looking for dedicated individuals to join our landscaping team.  The Landscaping Crew Supervisors will work alongside people with disabilities while increasing productivity, maintaining outstanding quality, and enhancing job skills.  This is a fun position that keeps you in shape and outdoors Spring through Fall.  The work hours are from 8am to 4pm M-F (no weekends!).  This position begins as Seasonal with the possibility of becoming regular at the end of the season as work permits.

Responsibilities
•    Assign and train clients to perform tasks such as mowing, weeding, edging, raking, etc.
•    Inspect quality of all work performed to be sure it meets contract standards
•    Coordinate workflow of assigned crew to meet contract requirements and deadlines.
•    Provide personal attendant care for clients as needed
•    Ensure safety and security of equipment and job site.

Qualifications
•    High school diploma or GED required, post secondary education preferred.
•    One to two years of landscaping or related experience.
•    Supervisory experience preferred.  Experience working with people that have developmental disabilities a plus.
•    Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of vehicle liability insurance.
•    Current First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
•    Pesticide applicators license or willingness to attend training to obtain license.
